Key Features

The Dee Ring is similar in action to the Eggbutt, it prevents pinching and gives a slightly more solid feel against the cheeks. This prevents the bit from being pulled through the mouth. The release is slower and some slight poll pressure is introduced.

The Mullen distributes pressure evenly over all the structures of the mouth, while this avoids pressure points, it does make the Mullen a fairly strong bit.  The pressure of the Pivot Mullen is slightly softened by allowing the sides to work independently and therefore allowing the mouthpiece to act on one side of the mouth at a time.
