Loose Ring Bomber Blue Elliptical Lock Up

Key Features

The Loose Ring allow for immediate release and relief from tongue and bar pressure. The bit is immediately reset to a neutral position in the horse’s mouth.
The Ultra-Comfy shape is such that it follows the contour of the horse’s tongue.  The centre elliptical joints have been double locked to ensure that the angle over the tongue remains correct, even when the reins are taken up, it retains the individual lateral aids.

The Bomber Blue material is a nylon composite and has been on the global market for over a decade. It has proven to be a well-received alternative to steel and other synthetics. It is porous encouraging salivation and acceptance.

We have carefully blended the stainless-steel joints with the Bomber Blue material to create a smooth  profile.

Some horse’s do not like the feel of metal in the mouth.  The Bomber Blue material was designed specifically for these horses

The Bomber Blue Elliptical Lock Up removes the squeezing of the bars that a conventional three piece creates.  The Bomber Blue Elliptical Lock Up is therefore a softer option, than a conventional Elliptical, although stronger than a control plate due to the smaller pressure point created on the tongue.

Recommended by Bomber for horses that are fussy in the contact and require both stability and a separation of the aids.  This would be recommended for horses lifting, poking or flicking their heads.

Cheekpiece

Bomber’s preferred cheekpiece. The cheekpiece is available in 3 sizes; large, standard and a slightly smaller model for a pony. Bomber highly recommends using a bit strap on a loose ring, as it stabilizes and minimizes the mouthpiece sliding through the mouth. Consider bit rubbers as a precaution.

Mouthpiece

The Elliptical Lock Up creates a pressure point on the tongue due to the centre component concentrating pressure on a small surface area. Pressure descends onto the bars and due to the mouthpiece being a semi-broken mouthpiece, it will hinder creating a squeeze on the bars – the extra piece of metal that has been added prevents the mouthpiece from folding backwards therefore creating little, to no squeeze on the bars.

There are many factors beyond our control that can contribute to the horse chewing the bit, thus we are not able to cover the non-metal mouthpieces with our lifetime guarantee.
