Swartburg weekend

tribeBomber and Trish were invited to Swartberg Club's coaching weekend on 11th and 12th January.  The weather was very kind to horses and players with an icy wind and heavy clouds blocking out the fierce sun.  The setting in the magnificent Swartberg farming area, was stunning with large shady oaks and top quality grassy fields.  The turnout was impressive with a majority of very keen juniors and the practice was run efficiently by Noel Bauer with each player having at least 5 chukkas each day on one horse, however, the Gilsons had 9-10 chukkas each as they had 2 - 3 horses each.  Visitors to the practice were Vincent and Vince Potgieter as well as Jen Schiever from Estcourt.

The usual practice of having a braai on Sundays is a great way to end a successful weekend.
Our thanks to everyone for their support and especially to Noel and Tinnie for their wonderful hospitality.
