Loose Ring Half Smooth Half Twisted Snaffle
The half smooth half twist snaffle is a unique bit which is reversible and can be used either way, this bit is for when a horse favours or leans on the one side.
Our Snaffle is a popular bit due to the curved mouthpiece which distributes pressure more evenly over tongue and bars. With the offset centre link it will reduce nutcraker action and pressure points on the tongue.
The Loose Ring allows for immediate release and relief from tongue and bar pressure which will reset the bit in the horses mouth.
All our bits are made from blue sweet iron, because it:
- oxidises easily
- encourages salivation
- helps bit acceptance
- is warm and sweet
Please note the blue will fade with use.
